Today CBS announced 15 of the 18 castaways who will compete against each other on SURVIVOR: PHILIPPINES. Sports gossip site Deadspin is relaying a Survivor Fever report that former San Fransisco Giants second baseman Jeff Kent will be a contestant on Survivor: Philippines.

In an interview with Entertianment Weekly, Jeff Probst called Survivor: One World “a bit of a letdown” which lacked “standout moments and characters.” Probst’s statement is supported by weaker ratings; the finale drew 10.22 million viewers, down 30% from last Spring, and 8.07 million viewers checked in for the live reunion, down 29 percent.

CBS has released the official preview video for Survivor: Philippines, featuring clips from several previous season of injured players who have had to be medically evacuated. Included in the montage are Michael Skupin from Survivor: The Australian Outback, Russell Swan from Survivor: Samoa, Rob Mariano, Jonathan Penner form Survivor: Micronesia.
