Reward / Immunity Challenge winner: Upolu

Redemption Island: Christine defeats Mikayla, later joined by Ozzy

Player notes:

  • After the Redemption Island challenge, Ozzy first suggests to Cochran the possibility of going to Redemption Island as a strategic move in order to defeat Christine if they can’t win the next challenge
  • Cochran takes heavy criticism, both directly and indirectly for his part in the Reward Challenge loss for doing a poor job connecting players to the guidance rope
  • Cochran later basically volunteers himself to Redemption Island which the rest of the tribe readily accepts, and they give him a pep talk of sorts to defeat Christine
  • After a sleepless night, Ozzy decides to go back to his original plan of volunteering himself for Redemption Island, and reveals his Hidden Immunity Idol; they worry about the possibility of the merge not happening as they expect and Cochran having to fill in for Ozzy on an extended basis
  • Ozzy reveals his plans at Tribal Council, adding that he would lie to Christine and say Cochran found and played the Idol, making him a double agent

Friends & Foes:

  • Coach and Rick discuss the possibility of disaster of Brandon keeps having outbursts after the merge
  • Sophie put off by Coach’s fake prayer, asking for help finding the Hidden Immunity Idol when he knows he has it

Other notes:

  • Reward Challenge reward included a screening of the film Jack and Jill along with movie theater-style food
  • Prayer was very prominent in Upolu in this episode
  • Jeff called Ozzy’s vote one of the biggest moves in the game, based on an assumption that the merge will happen as expected
  • Ozzy leaves Tribal Council almost exuberant
