Unofficial Guide to Survivor: Philippines Episode 7 — “Not the Only Actor on the Island”

Here’s everything you need to know about what happened in Survivor: Philippines Episode 7 — “Not the Only Actor on the Island” – who won the challenges, who was voted of, who played well, and who is on the outs. Feel free to add your notes, thoughts, and questions.

Aired October 31, 2012, covering night 16 through night 18

Immunity Challenge winners: Denise, Carter

Eliminated: RC – RC was barely coasting through the game and wasn’t worth much as an ally. It might have made more sense to target someone a little more dangerous as a second choice to Jonathan. The vote sets the stage for the next vote, and that’s about it.

Doing It Right:

Lisa – It’s hard to give her credit for stumbling face-first into one of the strongest alliances in the game, but she did it and played it gracefully.

Jeff – Jeff’s obsession with getting Jonathan out is borderline unhealthy and could be damaging to his game, but it looks like he will be able to do it and still maintain an alliance with people he trusts.

Doing It Wrong:

Abi – Even if you don’t like someone, it pays to make them think you do. Because she couldn’t get along with RC, she’s in a position where she has to scramble and opens up her alliance to new members. It wouldn’t be hard for Pete and Artis to decide they would rather move through the game with Jeff and Carter

Michael – It’s pretty frustrating to see the likable and dominating competitor we saw in Australia turn into such a weenie in this game. He’s annoying, he seems to have no plan other than to beg Jeff to let him be a number, and no one likes him.

Friends & Foes:

  • Malcolm, Lisa & Denise – It’s good to see that Malcolm and Denise are still going strong and they’re keeping it quiet. Smart move. If they are able to build and maintain larger alliances around this secret alliance (the three of them did all vote together against Jonathan) we could be in for some pretty great blindsides later in this game.
  • Jeff & Carter – Jeff and Carter make for a weird alliance. Jeff is barely calling the shots and Carter follows him around like a sheep. Carter is the worst player to watch in this game.

Other Notes:

  • The tribes have merged into one tribe which is, as of yet, unnamed
  • Jonathan played his Hidden Immunity Idol
